01 Service overview

The NIS maintenance and refurbishment department manages our customers’ equipment maintenance cycles, including preventive maintenance levels 1–5, complete refurbishments, conversions, upgrades and modifications. We carry out these services at our workshop and can also support our customers on site when needed. Some of our recent work includes:

Conversions of units from offshore to dual use land/offshore
Modification of frame to DNV certification
Converting MWD units to Zone 2
Level 1, 2, and 3 of wireline units
Installing PTU embedded into truck chassis
Complete refurbishment of 500 HP twin pump
Complete refurbishment of hydraulic power packs

Project 01

MB Petroleum

Complete refurbishment of an HD500 triplex pump, including overhaul of all major components.

Project 02

Al Mansoori

Complete refurbishment of a wireline unit and conversion for dual offshore/land use. The unit has been modified for mounting on a truck chassis, with adaptors for the PCE system and an embedded pressure test unit for full operational capability.

Complete refurbishment of an MWD cabin.

Complete refurbishment of an MWD cabin.

Project 05

Baker Hughes

Complete refurbishment of an offshore wireline unit, including hydraulic and mechanical components.

Project 06

Saudi Aramco

Complete refurbishment of an offshore wireline unit, including hydraulic and mechanical components. Installation of a new engine, control panel and instrumentation.

Project 07

Halliburton

Complete refurbishment of a hydraulic power pack, including overhaul and bench testing of all pumps and motors. Painting was omitted at the customer’s request.

02 Service capability

Hydraulics

NIS offers a full range of hydraulic services, including in-house dismantling, troubleshooting, overhauling, resealing and bench testing of hydraulic pumps, motors and cylinders on our own dynamic and static test benches. NIS also services hydraulic hoses at our customers’ facilities using our own crimping, stripping and testing machines.

03 Service capability

Electrical and Instrumentation

NIS handles our customers’ instrumentation and electrical systems, including pressurized and ex-proof instrumentation, gauges, assembly of distribution boxes and re-laying of entire electrical systems for all zoning requirements.

Design and installation of an H2S detection and emergency shutdown system integrated with a drilling rig.

Mechanical

NIS mechanical services include engine overhauls, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues, and assembling mechanical systems.

Complete overhaul of a 160 hp engine.

05 Service capability

Fabrication

Our in-house fabrication zone fabricates heavy duty structures and frames, bodies, brackets and all necessary components utilized for the oil and gas industry. In-house machines include bending, cutting, drilling and welding with certified personnel. Fabrication can be done with in-house design with module creation sheet and statement sheet.

06 Service capability

Blasting, Coating and Painting

Our state-of-the-art blasting and painting booths are enclosed and fully ventilated, with advanced environmentally friendly equipment installed. Each booth measures 5 m wide, 18 m long and 10 m high, allowing us to blast and paint entire units at once.
